Boston University Academy has a very successful Model United Nations club. Club members learn skills in global awareness, and are encouraged to keep up with current affairs. At meetings, club members debate various international affairs that have occurred in the preceding week and discuss how these events affect us. The club sends a delegation to (at least) two conferences yearly; typically: BUSUN, a conference held by Brown University, and BOSMUN, a conference held by Boston University. In preparation for these conferences, members learn parliamentary procedure as well writing skills for position papers and draft resolutions.
