Crisis committees break from the traditional mold of the signature general assemblies with fast paced discussion that have immediate impacts within the simulation. Delegates will have the opportunity to run through the course of the conflict by using their portfolio powers, communiqués, and other powers to craft their own novel resolutions.

MEET THE DIAS
Angelina Tahn ('26) is a junior at Boston University Academy, and this will be her third year with BUAMUN and her second year chairing. Outside of BUAMUN she attended conferences CMUNCE (Columbia Model United Nations Conference and Exposition), BOSMUN (Boston University Model United Nations) and BUSUN (Brown University Simulation of United Nations). Last year, she chaired the Missing Masterpiece JCC and staffed the year before that. She is also a part of the basketball team, and enjoys cooking and baking in her free time.

Bethiel Araia ('26) is a junior at Boston University Academy, and this is her second year participating in BUAMUN. Her interest in MUN grew from her previous year at BUAMUN where she worked as a staffer. Outside of MUN, she plays on the basketball & soccer teams and co-runs BUA’s Book Club! In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and taste-testing sweet treats.
