The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW or UNCSW) is a functional commission of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), one of the principal organs of the United Nations. CSW has been described as the UN organ promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women.[2] Every year, representatives of member states gather at United Nations Headquarters in New York to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and advancement of women worldwide.

Clair Wang ('28) is a freshman at Boston University Academy. She started doing Model UN in 7th grade, where she attended 5 conferences. This will be her first time vice chairing a committee! Outside of Model UN, Clair enjoys playing the oboe, painting, and listening to music.
