BUAMUN IX Moves Online

Dear Advisors, Delegates, and members of the BUAMUN community,

On behalf of the BUAMUN Secretariat, I hope you all are healthy and safe during this challenging time.

We wanted to send along an update regarding our plans for BUAMUN 2021 in light of the ongoing pandemic. We promise to keep you updated regarding BUAMUN’s response and will share how we plan to adapt the conference during this time.

First, as of now, BUAMUN IX is still expected to be held during the weekend of January 30-31, 2021. We, however, have made the decision to move the conference to an online platform. While the details regarding how we will run the conference (costs, specific online platform, schedule, etc.) of the conference are yet to be determined, we will update you as soon as these details are finalized. BUAMUN Secretariat and staff are working tirelessly to ensure that the conference will be run to the same high standards that you have come to expect and we are excited to continue to offer a space for passionate middle school students to participate in Model UN.

We understand that schools may have other priorities this year in dealing with appropriate responses to COVID-19, and want to ensure that all have an equal opportunity to participate in BUAMUN IX. Please email our Secretariat (admin@buamun.edu), for any questions, concerns, or ways in which BUAMUN can help support your school with registration during this difficult time.

Finally, we wish to again extend our support and sympathy, and hope that you all are safe and healthy.

Thank you for showing your continued involvement with BUAMUN IX, and we look forward to your participation in January.

Sincerely,
Sudarshan Ramanan, Jonas Rajagopal, and John Lee
Secretaries-General, BUAMUN IX
