The World Health Organization is an organ of the United Nations dedicated to tackling some of the world's most pervasive public health issues. It assists local governments in delivering essential health needs to their populations. It leads in research and regulations, and coordinates cooperation between governments, the scientific community, and Non-Governmental Organizations. Delegates will have the opportunity to debate some of the world's most critical health issues.

MEET THE DIAS
Dominic Iafrate ('23) is a rising Senior who staffed BUAMUN in 2021 and vice-chaired BUAMUN in 2022 . He plays soccer and basketball at BUA. He is a co-president of the brand new Outing Club. His hobbies include playing and watching sports, watching Netflix, and being in Outing Club. He's super hyped to participate in BUAMUN 2023!

Nye Matta ('25) is a Sophomore at Boston University Academy and has participated in Model United Nations conferences since 7th grade. His first Model United Nations experience was as a delegate for MMUN (Montessori Model United Nations). This is his second year with BUAMUN and his first year as a vice-chair. Last year he served as a staffer, mainly for ECOSOC. Out of school, he enjoys playing all kinds of sports, video games, and seeing friends.
