DISEC
The Disarmament and International Security Committee, also known as DISEC, is a committee of the whole in the United Nations, meaning that every UN member state is represented. DISEC delegates will debate serious issues regarding international security and arms with the ultimate stated goal of attaining world peace.

Will Jurayj ('17), Co-Chair ([email protected])
William Jurayj is a Sophomore at BU Academy, and has been a devoted devotee of Model UN for over 3 years, and is excited to work with his Co-Chair, David. He enjoys jamming on the piano and playing chess with David. William’s favorite subjects are Latin and English. On a normal Friday night, William will often curl up on his sofa and watch chick flicks until the commissioner sends a distress call and mild mannered William is forced to don the colors of Batman and battle space aliens for galactic supremacy.

David Giliver ('17), Co-Chair
David Giliver is a rising sophomore at BU Academy. He has been a part of the BUA Model UN team for two years, and he is excited at the opportunity to be co-chair at BUAMUN with Will. When David is not destroying kids in debate, he enjoys beating six year-olds at chess, playing his guitar alone in his room, catching up on the Good Wife on the weekends, catching up on the Real Housewives of Atlanta on the weekdays, and singing late 80s hits in the shower.
