UNSC
The United Nations Security Council, or UNSC, is the most powerful legislative organ of the United Nations. The body of the Security Council is made up of 15 member states, including five permanent members with veto ability (United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China, France) as well as ten members chosen on a rotating basis from the overall body of UN member states. The Security Council has the unique power to enact international sanctions, order military action, and establish peacekeeping forces, as well as pass resolutions which are binding to all UN member states. This prestige means that delegates will discuss some of the most serious and interesting international events, and will have the ability to respond as they see fit.

Nimish Garg ('18), Vice-Chair
Nimish Garg is a soaring freshman at BU academy. This is his first year in Model UN and he is really excited to work under his super duper chair, Nupur. If Nimish is not sleeping, he enjoys pretending to be a super villain, building robots that will take over the world, trying to defeat Roger Federer while out on the courts, and playing jazzy tunes on the piano. Up, up, and away. |
